Solitude Station: An on-mountain dining highlight is Solitude Station at the top of American Eagle. It’s the original mid-mountain lodge, with a food court filled with everything from bratwurst to gumbo! Skiing and Cajun food? Sign us up!

Moonlight Dine and Ski: Consider the unique Moonlight Dine and Ski experience available on a few select nights through the season. For $120 USD ($164 AUD), you ride up American Eagle (or for an extra $50 USD ($69 AUD) you can ride a cat) to enjoy cocktails and fine dining with live music. 

Once you’re done, ski or snowboard under the stars back down back down by headlamp and moonlight. This is definitely not your average date night!

Over on the west side of the mountain, you can choose between Flyer’s and T-Rex Grill. 

Flyer’s: At the top of American Flyer, Flyer's is a little shack popular with the locals that serve burgers, handheld waffles (we didn’t know that was a thing either), and hot soup along with beer, cocktails, and shots… just in case the soup isn’t enough to warm you up. 

T-Rex Grill: T-Rex Grill is at the bottom of Timberline Express, a convenient restaurant for a quick eat and then getting back on the slopes! This Copper Mountain restaurant serves burgers, bratwurst, and chicken sandwiches, which you can enjoy outside lounging in the sun if it’s a nice day. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available here.

Off Mountain

With over 25 restaurants in the easy-to-walk villages, there are more choices for eating and drinking in Copper Mountain than you might think, with everything from pizza to sushi to tacos to tater tots! If it’s the weekend, it might be a good idea to make reservations but it isn’t required. Here are our favourites to start you off:

Restaurants in Centre Village

You’ll find the majority of restaurants and bars here in the Centre Village.

Incline Bar and Grill: Our top choice for a ski-in/ski-out lunch would be Incline Bar and Grill. They offer steak, seafood, sandwiches, and 20 beers on tap. It’s also open till 9:30pm on Sunday to Thursday and 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday, so it’s a good choice for dinner, too.

CB Grille: Copper’s most upscale restaurant but maintains a fairly casual vibe. CB Grille is a great choice for date night or celebrating a special occasion, and they’ve got a nice happy hour - so a good day of skiing could be all the special occasion you need! It’s the place to go for small plates, artisan pizza, choice steaks, and fresh seafood, along with handmade desserts.

Eagle BBQ: If the idea of a grill sounds nice but you’re in the mood to get a little messier, try out Eagle BBQ, for some Colorado style BBQ. With pulled pork, ribs, and brisket with plenty of sides to choose from, you won’t walk away hungry. It’s a great family restaurant, but with a full bar the grown-ups can wash it all down in style.

Mountain Melt: For something that won’t break the bank but does the job, check out Mountain Melt. Its taken mac and cheese to new levels with all sorts of creative ways to enjoy this old favourite, and they’re also known for their grilled cheese sandwiches and tater-tots, making for another fun family choice for lunch or an early dinner. 

Restaurants in East Village

JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern: In the East Village, JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern is a turn-of-the-century style saloon with the longest bar in Summit County, wood-fired pizza, in-house smoked meats, and live music making it a bustling place that’s fun for the whole family.

Double Diamond: A family-owned restaurant at the base of Super Bee. Its patio is a great spot when the weather is nice, and even when it’s not so nice out, the giant windows offer a great view. Double Diamond also has award-winning ribs and claim the best pizza on the mountain (we think there may be some stiff competition for that, but we’re more than happy to help judge).

Restaurants in West Village

The West Village is more residential, but you can find a wide selection of waffles made to order for breakfast at Lola’s Waffle Hut, while at Union Creek you can find breakfast plus pizza, barbecue, and beer for lunch.

Après Ski

Copper Mountain isn’t usually the place people come to for rowdy nightlife - that’s the next valley over in Breckenridge. Most visitors hit up happy hour and maybe have a few after dinner before turning in. That said, Copper Mountain restaurants certainly do happy hour well. 

CB Grille, Incline, JJ’s, and Jack’s Slopeside Bar and Grill all offer happy hour deals and have live music on Friday or weekends.

Endo’s: Favourite Copper Mountain restaurant for lunch and dinner in a vibrant atmosphere with a great deck. It's a popular happy hour spot, with the bar staying open till 10:00pm (and famous bloody Mary’s if you need a little jump start next morning).

High Rockies Whiskey and Wine Bar: If you’re looking to revel a little later into the night, High Rockies Whiskey and Wine Bar serves over 200 different whiskeys, bourbons, wine, and beers. 

Mulligans Irish Pub: And of course, there’s Mulligans Irish Pub in Centre Village with plenty of Colorado brews to go with the Guinness, Smithwicks and reliable pub fare.
